 Symmetrical Activities to encourage Bilateral Coordination Skills

• Two hands reaching to pop bubble
• Rip tissue paper is small pieces to glue on picture
• Pull cotton balls apart
• Play doh or theraputty squeeze or roll
• Toy drums, symbols
• Wrapper snapper- pull apart accordian tube and push together
• Zoom ball
• Jump rope
• Catching a ball

Alternating Movements

• Card games, holding deck and using other hand to hand them out
• Music toys-drums alternating hands
• Ride a bicycle
• Skipping, walking running
• Touch each hand to opposite knee
• Ice Skating on carpet squares with alternating arms and legs 

Activities that require a different skill on each hand

• Tracing stencils
• Cutting tasks
• Coloring/drawing/painting tasks
• Holding a phone while dialing the number
